Caavo’s Control Center gets a price cut and support for Sonos speakers
Caavo‘s Control Center, a set-top box that employs a combo of AI, deep linking, APIs, HDMI-CEC, IP control, Bluetooth, and IR to unify entertainment consoles, now plays nicely with Sonos speakers. Alongside a new parental monitoring feature and a price cut, Caavo today announced that Sonos integration, which will allow users to control music playback and view playlists on their televisions, is rolling out to Control Center units this week.

Beyond just wireless network hub functionality, the Caavo “control center” also has a television interface and acts as a 4K HDR HDMI switch – which has great practical value. With a power button. And somewhat more optional voice control.

The Caavo remote is slender, sleek, and simplistic, looking quite modern next to traditional universal remote controls. Overall, the device feels durable despite its premium outfit, which should entice folks who might be searching for an aesthetically pleasing universal remote that'll stand up to kids, pets, and rowdy houseguests. The control center itself is equally as chic. Its aesthetics match the remote and will probably blend in with just about everyone's home theater set-up without taking up too much space.

Avid streaming media watchers will love this remote as it gets them to the content they want to see without a lot of fooling around. It’s also family friendly as the voice control makes getting to content super easy for everyone.  If, like me, you provide technical support to your parents and girl friend etc. to get them to the shows they want to watch, this is definitely worth a look.
